Our courses are designed for people who have a keen interest to learn wirework in detail. Unlike many courses, that aim to have an item finished quickly to take home. The focus of our courses are about learning the skills and techniques of working with copper wire to produce handcrafted elements that can be made into beautiful bespoke jewellery and gifts. We pay attention to detail including choosing the correct materials, and instruction on tool use as well as focus on the design. They aim to equip you with skills and knowldege that you can replicate confidently at home to produce a variety of beautifully handcrafted items way beyond the course. Therefore, not only are the courses fun, but they also offer value for money.
We run courses locally to at The New Inn Hotel, a 17th century coaching Inn set in the heart of Lechlade-On-Thames.This lovely hotel is full of character with a garden that stretches down to the River Thames, and a traditional bar that has a wonderful log fire in the Winter. Being on the edge of the Cotswolds, if you would like to make a weekend of your visit, the hotel also offers accommodation.
Each course has a maximum of 10 participants. Keeping our group sizes small enables us to make sure that everyone gets plenty of individual attention with a 1:5 ratio of tutor/participant support throughout the day. All of our courses at The New Inn Hotel are inclusive of tea, coffee and biscuits. However, you will need to bring a packed lunch or you can order sandwiches at the hotel bar on the day.
Alternatively, We can also offer our courses as individual tuition, or tuition with a friend either on a Thursday or Friday by prior arrangement. If you would prefer to learn this way, then please do get in touch using the contact details on our Contact us page.
